  1. Add Spellchecker

    Hey guys,

Would be great to have a spellchecker on both the design and the content canvases (for the CMS user too..).

Save us from ourselves, mispelling can be quite a disaster... :)

    Thanks...

    • HTML5

It's the way of the web. Most modern websites are moving to HTML5 for the backend code, it allows more to be done with our websites like transitions, animations, flash free videos etc and the current "HTML4 strict" that webydo uses is getting dated - it would be great to stay current

All Webydo websites are valid HTML5 sites.

It was specially designed to deliver rich content. The current version delivers everything from animation to graphics, music to movies, and can also be used to build complicated websites.

HTML5 is also cross-platform. It is designed to work whether you are using a PC, or a Tablet, a Smartphone, or a Smart TV.

      • WE NEED A DROP DOWN MENU OPTION

A think a few people have brought this up but could we have a drop down menu system option added to the menu bar.

Would be great to be able to offer our clients this as a lot of other websites out there do it.

        • Add CAPTCHA to the Form element

Will be nice to have CAPTCHA (http://www.captcha.net/), or something similar to the form element.

SPAM filters are pretty common for forms, and a feature expected by most clients.

          Regards

            Hi Eitan,
Thank you for the good idea!

Adding CAPTCHA (an acronym for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart") to the forms seems like the natural next step.

Thanks for the good feedback, we hope this feature’s development will be encouraged by the community’s voting.

Keep sharing your ideas with us! Things are getting more and more exciting here…

          • OpenID login Support (visitors and users)

            Support OpenID login.

I've seen several users mention about supporting viewers to login to sites which is an excellent idea.
On the back of this, Both Webydo designers/users and website viewers should be allowed to login with their openID.
            Supporting such sites as:

            Google Login
            Disqus Login
            Yahoo Login
            Twitter Login
            http://openid.net/

There is a bit of great work going on over here : https://code.google.com/p/openid-selector/ : which I believe supplies a whole bunch of OpenID logins support under one JS package.

            • Media Library

Unless I'm missing it, it would be nice to have our photos that we upload be "stored" and allow us to organise them into folders and such, like a file browser.

Hey guys! Guess what? We just launched ‘The Media Library’!

The new Media Library stores all your images online in one place – so It works like a cloud, meaning that you will be able to access them anytime, anywhere.

The best part of all is all you have to do is upload the image just like you always do and it will be automatically stored in the library.

You may also upload your all images at once to the Media Library, and then you are free to work fully online.

Enjoy this new feature and please try it and send us your feedback so we can continue to polish it off for you.

Keep on Designing on! Rock on Webydo’ers!

              • Parralex needs an upgrade!

The parralex feature is great, but.... responsiveness is a ****. Every change you make on desktop or mobile influence all other views. And as every view has a different pixel rate it triggers wrong. Also the positions move out of screen. It is not workable. Only when you copy every parralex item for every view and adjust them accordingly.

Also when your updating: please add other transitions as well, like 'mouse over' And on click.

The famous large menu bar which shrinks when scrolled down 'and' stays on top (fixed) is not possible.

For an 'On click' feature. Pull down/open…

                  Hi Ruben,

Awesome stuff you’ve got there! Each and every idea would upgrade any website built with Webydo.

We actually intend focusing on transitions, motions and interactions further down the road. So let’s consult with the rest of the community and get for some instant feedback.

                • Megamenus

Being able to deploy a mega-menu on a hover. More textually, enable to have a box of content when an item menu is hovered, instead of only another menu link. As in, I could expand that menu box to 300px, and put content there.

                  • Hiding the .html ending in links (on the website)

It would look cleaner and better if we could simply hide the .html ending.

                      Hi everyone.
It seems that the development of HTML removal will be delayed, as other features with higher votes are being developed first.

Keep voting for this idea in order to ensure it will be added to the development plans as soon as possible.

It would be nice to have a url with a specific/ custom name.

EX: http://customdesigns.webydo.com/?v=1 instead of what I have currently: http://site206871.webydo.com/?v=1

Under the “My Branding” tab on the dashboard, there is a section called “Publish Sites Under Your Own Domain Name”.

This will allow you to connect your own domain name and publish sites under your own name.

Instead of publishing sites under Webydo’s sub-domain like this: site123.webydo.com,
publish your sites under your own domain, like this: site123.yourowndomain.com.

                      • Market Place

What about a place on the site where designers can share or sell their website designs to other registered Webydoers?

                        • Design in Mobile view first

Great work in putting the different views in the design platform - desktop/tablet & mobile views.

However, it would be nice to have the option to swap directions in terms of what view you want to start designing your website at. For example, at the moment, you have to start your design in desktop and go down. You can not start at mobile view and make your way up. Isn't mobile and tablet view now more important than desktop/laptop view?

You're on the right track, but if we could go just that little bit further in making Webydo a really…

We’re happy to announce that the brand new mobile/tablet editor is now available for all users!

With the new editor, you can fine tune your mobile/tablet version of your website using the various customization options. These options allow you to change the scale of items, move features around, hide content and change the overall design of the mobile/tablet website, to provide as great an experience on mobile as possible.

Edit content from just one place!

Changes made by the CMS users to the content on the desktop version of these sites are reflected within the mobile versions as well.
This means that your content manager will continue editing the site as he always did.

The mobile editor is now available in beta mode.

So please, feel free to send us as much feedback as you can, so we can continue to add more features to it.

                              Hope you will like…

It would be useful if users could attach documents (e.g. Word, pdf, photos) to forms, for example if they are complaining about a product they might want to upload a picture or a filled out troubleshooting form. Ooh! Much like the "Attach a File" link I see at the bottom of this very text entry field!

We have just finished the production process of the “Pin Position” feature!

It will allow you to keep your most important elements on the screen when scrolling through your website.

After you pin the position of an element, it will appear as if it is “floating” on the site.

From fixed menus to headers and side bars, there are endless inspiring examples of how to use fixed elements.

So please check it out, and tell us how it feels.

                                      We hope you like it!

Can we have an explanation or a 'how to' section on using the SEO settings?

For those of us that aren't SEO wizards an instruction manual explaining what each of the SEO fields does and how to use them would be more than useful!

                                      • Drop Down Menus

I want to be able to create a website that has drop-down menus. The best examples I've seen are www.basspro.com and www.nba.com

                                        • push menu

It would be cool to be able to add a push menu = a menu that is hidden but when you press the menu icon a vertical menu slides out from the right side and push the website content to the right
                                          like this example.

                                            Thanks for the feedback!

We are currently developing a “mobile menu”, or sometimes called “hamburger menu”.

This should be released in a couple of days.
                                            Hope you like it!
