  1. images

Galleries neat to be more efficient...

1.-The Galleries should maintain and respect the images name assigned to them, and not change it to something like... images8.webydo.com/94/94

I think this does not contribute to the seo of the sites

2.- Some galleries should have more use options, I want to say that I would like to have more control on how the image and the text are displayed.

    • Renaming Images

When publishing a site through Webydo, instead of using the image file name that I've given to an image, the website changes the name to something like images8.webydo.com...

We should be able to change this so that the file name I've given gets used in the source code.

      • exportable site including images !

Everytime I export a site there is images missing. It would be great to export a site with all the images in the site :)

All site exports include everything you need to host the website on your own server.

Images in Image and Section/Shape elements get added to a folder within the export.

Images in the Media Galleries are coded in and require your site to be hosted in order to see them.

If you believe that your export was missing pages or information, please contact support@webydo.com and we can get you a new export.

        • The site border (around entire browser window) available?

          Hello, I'm a new starter.

I wonder if a site/body border effect achievable or not. Like this site: https://www.beoplay.com/

There's a white border around the whole site. I think it's a pretty feature.

          Thank you!

          • Link a Button to a file

We should be able to link a button to a file instead of only being able to link text to a file. I want my customer to be able to download a pdf file after clicking on a button I created.

Thank you for your suggestion. We will look into adding the ability to upload file links to all elements within the Webydo Elements Panel.

In the meantime, we have a solution for you:

The option for link to file is only available via the text element, however there is a way around this. When using the Text Element once your file us uploaded a new URL is generated. Use this as your link with any other element!

              1. Within the text-box, mark the text you would like to link and click the Link icon on the top menu.

              2. Select the File option from the dropdown menu in the Link To field.

              3. Choose and Upload your File
              4. Copy the URL generated for your file link
              5. Use this URL for any other element to link

            • PDF BUTTON

Sometimes we need, or our clients need a pdf or rpint button.

This can actually be done :)

First you will need to create the PDF link – using our text element.

                1. Link text within the text element to a file
                2. Copy the URL generated after uploading your PDF
                3. Select your button element
                4. Link it to your URL

If I have a vertical menu and then decide I want to change to horizontal, I have to delete my menu and then drag a new one out and reformat all my styling options again.

                  • To be able to style the menu backgrounds independently from the top level

Meaning, you can have a transparent (no background) on the top level, but then have a color background on the drop downs. This is NECESSARY all the time, because the drop downs can get lost on top of an image or color that may appear lower on the page. By having them style together, you have to break your page design - so people can see the text in the drop down menus. So frustrating .

Until we do develop this ability, I would recommend trying the following trick:

Create a solid color image that will be used as the “background color”.

Add the image as an icon to the pages you wish to contain a background – In the “Pages & Navigation” panel.

In the menu, choose to display icons centered.

Please let us know if this works for you, as we know this is not an “elegant” solution…

                      Thanks you.

                        • better image integration in sliders

Give the same option of align center-top a photo inside a slider component. The cover option tends to crop heads off people in photos at desktop resolutions.

                              • Full text control - superscript, subscript and small caps

We work for specialist clients such as scientists and high-end publishers where these details are essential; superscript is the difference between 'two squared' and 22! They are easily achieved with HTML tags, but of course, we can't custom-code individual characters in Webydo, so can these simple features be added alongside things like itals and bold?

Alternatively, could we be able to custom-code individual characters somehow? I imagine this would be fundamentally more difficult to achieve though.

Hi Emma, thanks for reaching out.
Thanks for the feedback, we will take this under consideration in our roadmap meetings.

In the meantime, you may use the “HTML Element” to add by code all that you are not able to do with the elements in the panel.

I suggest you contact your account manager (or support), to help you with the code.

                                • Animated mobile menu (hamburger) and slide in Menu

Webydo needs more options for menu animation for mobile. Many sites are now utilizing hamburger style menus with beautiful animation and Webydo is lagging behind with current design trends.

The desktop menus is a step forward but the mobile hamburger style needs an upgrade quickly. This also includes slide in menus! We need slide in and animated hamburgers.

                                  • Make Shapes editable in CMS

It would be useful if CMS users could edit images and colours within the Shape element and not JUST DMS users. ...Or for that matter it would be good if they could edit any aspect of this element.

After all, if we don't want them to able to do this to maintain the integrity of the design, then we still have the option to tick the box to make it non-editable on the Properties Panel, so can't understand why Webydo haven't made it editable in CMS???

                                      Hi David,
You are able to provide you CMS with full design abilities, in order to be able to edit the site just like a DMS can.

In the Dashboard, click the settings icon, and select the CMS tab. Choose “Full Design Abilities”.

                                    • Mobile menu - sub menus

Currently with the mobile menu, when there are sub menus you have to click the arrow to see the sub pages. If you click on the actual main page heading the menu just disappears and then you have to reclick again to try the arrow. This is clumsy and frustrating for the user. It should be that when you click on the the main menu heading that it takes you down to see the sub pages, just as the arrow does.

                                      • Enter HEX color codes without hashtag in color picker from the tiny menu bar

In the color picker in the regular design panel on the right you can put in a color HEX code without any hashtag. The # is set per default in front of the number.

But in the color picker you can access directly over for example a text box (the appearing tiny menu bar), you have to put in the hashtag in front. This is somewhat confusing for people, who don't know that.

                                        • member log in

I would love to see a log in member area with data base.

                                          or
a way to have a multiple protected pages with one log in url that caters for all protected pages and not just a log in for 1 protected page. so individual clients can to one place on the website press log in complete the username and password and it brings up their own protected page.
