  1. Feedburner Channel, Intranet tools and offline mode

    Hi,
Could feedburner services be incorporated so as to auto push content to ones site, If one could add a moot account to a finished websites that would be awesome (moot.it) or at least a cool collaborative feature like with the feel of fluent.io just so that one's website can have an intranet feel .(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z07MnBf9QNY) . Is it also possible to have a downloadable version of webydo reason being that some ideas for design actually comes when one is not online.
    Warm regards

    Yax

    Thanks for the feedback Yakubu!

You can add the tools you mentioned using Webydo’s HTML Widget Tool.

Just as an example, I opened an account at moot.it, and using Webydo’s HTML Widget Tool, I easily copied and pasted the code.

    This is the result:

  2. grid overlay

  3. Rollover States

It would be great to have rollover states for shapes and text boxes just like there is for menu buttons.

    Hi Everyone,

We have some exciting news. New buttons are now available in the Studio with rollover states and multiple animations and transition effects.

Not only do you have dozens of buttons to choose from, you are also able to customize the color, text and effects of the states to fit your design needs.

You can find these buttons in the Elements Panel under the Buttons drop-down and simply drag and drop them onto the canvas.

For more information on the new buttons: http://goo.gl/kE6A4F

Please try them and tell us what you think.

  4. Mobile and tablet preview

How about three preview modes, desktop, tablet and mobile. This way you will instantly see how your design is looking across all devices and amend it accordingly?

We’re happy to announce that the brand new mobile/tablet editor is now available for all users!

With the new editor, you can fine tune your mobile/tablet version of your website using the various customization options. These options allow you to change the scale of items, move features around, hide content and change the overall design of the mobile/tablet website, to provide as great an experience on mobile as possible.

Edit content from just one place!

Changes made by the CMS users to the content on the desktop version of these sites are reflected within the mobile versions as well.
This means that your content manager will continue editing the site as he always did.

The mobile editor is now available in beta mode.

So please, feel free to send us as much feedback as you can, so we can continue to add more features to it.

    Hope you will like…

  5. Multiple Layout Sections

Currently there are only three sections (1) Head, (2) Content, & (3) Footer. Can we expand this to enable arbitrary sections?

The various fit-to features are good, but apply to whole of each of the sections, which compromises the richness of layout.

  6. Enable JS & CSS to be added in the <head>

The depth of visual design and widgets is good, but we there will always be something that needs a little bit more to achieve.

Squarespace & Unbounce are good reference examples where this is supported.

We’re happy to announce that you now have the ability to add your own code to any section (including the “Head” section) of your Webydo sites.

You may add and edit the code in all the site’s sections in order to have full control of your site, and to be able to easily embed widgets that need code to be added to different sections of a page.

You may also add code to your site’s CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) document, if you wish to do so.

In order to add/edit code, in the studio, click on the “Pages” link on the top menu. Next to each of your site’s pages, you will find the “Add Code” option.

    Hope you like it :)

  7. more shapes

Allow the ability to add more types of (css3) shapes like triangles and circles.

  8. Media Library

Unless I'm missing it, it would be nice to have our photos that we upload be "stored" and allow us to organise them into folders and such, like a file browser.

Hey guys! Guess what? We just launched ‘The Media Library’!

The new Media Library stores all your images online in one place – so It works like a cloud, meaning that you will be able to access them anytime, anywhere.

The best part of all is all you have to do is upload the image just like you always do and it will be automatically stored in the library.

You may also upload your all images at once to the Media Library, and then you are free to work fully online.

Enjoy this new feature and please try it and send us your feedback so we can continue to polish it off for you.

Keep on Designing on! Rock on Webydo’ers!

  9. Discounts

It would be great to have some sort of "loyalty program"
For example - once you have 5 standard/unlimited sites you get a 5% discount, 10 sites you get a 10% discount etc.

Also designers who choose to host their own design agency website with webydo could receive a discount or some sort of incentive for your customers.

  11. Anchor Tags (Scroll to Buttons)

It would be great to have the ability to add anchor tags for links.

(Anchor tags scroll the page to a specific spot when a button or link is clicked often by using "jquery" to scroll the page smoothly to the desired area)

We are excited to announce that we have just finished the development process of “Anchor Links” (the ability to add links to a specific part in the same page).

We also added smoothness to the anchor links scrolling.

This feature had many designer votes and was inspired by your requests.

How to create an anchor link:
Choose any element you want, click “Edit” and select “Set as Anchor Link”.
You may now link to it as you would do with any other link.

    That’s it…

    Enjoy!

  12. Layout and structure

Personally I like to be able to see the whole canvas so if it would be possible to have a zoom option (if there isn't already)

When the builder is up at first I was overwhelmed by loads of options but as I studied it a bit more I managed to figure it all out so I was wondering if it where possible for those who are not educated in the layout a step by step introduction to the layout and where every thing is.

Another idea would be like PS where there is a way to arrange the options…

  13. Visitor Signup & Login

Allow website visitors to signup for the site with an email and password giving them access to "members-only" pages or content. These emails could then be pulled into a database to allow the creation of email newsletters.

    Hi everyone,

We want to let you know that we have a new feature: Page Visibility.

This new feature lets you control the visibility of each page on your website.
In the Webydo Studio, you can define any page as public, private or password protected.

Public: visible to everyone (default setting).
Private: visible only in the Webydo Studio.
Password Protected: visible only upon entering a username and password (these values remain the same regardless of page).

    How It Works:
Go to the Pages & Navigation window.
Choose the page you wish to edit.
    Click the Settings Icon.
Under Visibility choose: Public, Private or Password Protected (for this option you must enter a username and password).
    Click OK and Publish.

Thank you for the feedback, if you have more questions please contact our support team.

  14. Built-in Blog

You guys have a concept here that I couldn't be happier to find. Complete free reign of creative appearance very similar to Photoshop, but for building and designing websites.

    Now for my suggestions...

A built-in blog feature that allows for retroactive posting (choose date stamp to "import" previous posts) and can be incorporated into the site's search abilities, And a search bar that can be set to work with the content found throughout the website.

    More to follow I'm sure...

  16. Autosave

Please add an "AutoSave" feature to protect our progress as we edit?
But still have the ability to "Undo" & "Redo" even after the AutoSave executes.

  17. Responsiveness

This is an awesome free product, its about time someone cerated something like this so well done!! I've only just discovered this so I havent used it yet but would like to.

However, I have a question, does it create responsive code? You say that the code will be cross-browser compatible but does it create code with media queries so that it reconfigures on any device?

If not then you need to address that issue since more and more people will be viewing websites purely on mobile devices instead of laptops.

    If it does then great!...but I haven't seen that…

Custom Brand Webydo as Your Own!

We are very excited to announce that we have just released new custom-branding abilities to Webydo.

This will allow designers to custom-brand Webydo’s interface and present it to their clients as their own.

You will also be granted with your own log-in page, displaying your own logo, so your clients will be able to log-in directly to their websites, in order to manage content, without having to go through Webydo at all.

Branding is a key element for any designer. Whether you own a large company or you are a freelancer, your brand is your identity.
