  2. Add Spellchecker

    Hey guys,

Would be great to have a spellchecker on both the design and the content canvases (for the CMS user too..).

Save us from ourselves, mispelling can be quite a disaster... :)

    Thanks...

  3. Revisions history

    Hey guys,
    Thanks for the great wrok!
It can be helpful to have revisions history, especially for the CMS user, so that when my clients is updating content and need to go back to a former version, they could do that easily. There can be a list of versions like you have on a google doc, or list of actions like the History function on Adobe Photoshop.

    What do you guys think?

We have just released a new feature we call “Revision History”, and it allows you to go back in time…

In the your site studio, you can now preview older versions and changes made to your website and recover the version you like best.

    - Every change is auto-saved
    - Go back in time endlessly
    - See who made changes and when
    - Preview site versions before restoring

Reverting your site does not eliminate other versions – we auto-save everything for your convenience.

    How to work it

    1. Open the Webydo Studio
    2. Click the Revision History Icon on the top right menu to enter Revision History View Mode.
    3. Click the timestamp in the panel on the left to see previous versions and editing details.
    4. To revert your site to the version you’re currently viewing, click Restore this revision.

    5. Click the X icon to exit Revision History…

  4. Option to have captions in gallery/slideshow

Please please please have an option to add captions to each individual photo in the slideshow/gallery feature. As a designer who does many portfolio sites for artists, photographers and other designers, I can tell you this is absolutely essential. Otherwise your beautiful gallery, and site is worthless to us. Thanks in advance!

We all know the saying “a picture can tell a thousand words”, this may be true, but sometimes it is important to show captions on images to give more details. Displaying captions this way can also save web page space at the same time.

As of today, with the release of a new Webydo feature, you can make fantastic text overlay effects that occur when you mouse-over images.

Just add an image and select “Text Caption”.
    Enjoy!

  5. Site thumbnail

I would like to be able to upload my own thumbnails to the dashboard. if I have many sites, it would make it easier for me to tell them apart. also would be nice to be able to change the name of the websites.
    thanks

We have just released the ability to upload your own site thumbnail.

Just click on the dashboard’s site settings icon, double click on the thumbnail and upload your own.

Regarding the ability to change the website name, this is possible. Just go to the dashboard’s site settings icon, and edit the website’s name.

  6. Automating data from forms

Can I port the data that is collected by forms out of Webydo? Can I automate that? Currently it does't appear so, and obviously that is important to me.
I would love to be able to automate form submissions into a Google Docs spreadsheet or similar.

    thanks
    Mike

  7. More Voting Points...

I love working with Webydo, and I'm glad I've joined the community. I see you are releasing updates very rapidly.

What is a pain is the number of points you give for voting.
Give us more of that sweet stuff :)

  8. Widgets Gallery

Would be great to have a page where there are links to commonly used Widgets + newly designed Widgets.

I would love to share some of my own Widgets, or even sell my Widgets to designers in our community...

    Hi everyone,

A search box is now available along with group of other new third party plugins that can be easily dragged and dropped directly onto your canvas. Ranging from chat windows to social media bars and eCommerce buttons, these are just some of the latest additions to the Elements Panel in the Webydo Studio.

Please try them and tell us what you think, thanks for all the feedback.

We have just finished the production process of the “Pin Position” feature!

It will allow you to keep your most important elements on the screen when scrolling through your website.

After you pin the position of an element, it will appear as if it is “floating” on the site.

From fixed menus to headers and side bars, there are endless inspiring examples of how to use fixed elements.

So please check it out, and tell us how it feels.

    We hope you like it!

  10. Eyedropper

Hey guys, it would be extremely helpful to have an eyedropper in order to sample color for best on-site match of our design.

Thanks a lot for the splendid work. I love working on Webydo.

    Cheers!
    Alan

  11. Ecommerce designing - drag and drop integration

A drag a drop ecommerce style shop.

You could easily add and integrate your online shop from scratch

or by using the same functionalities or styles from other plataforms, such as Joomla (Virtuemart) and Wordpress (WP-e-commerce) ...

Also adding the design of your preferred shipping companies (TNT, DHL, Post Office, Roal Mail etc) and

adding your preferred Online Merchange to be used (Paypal, Google Checkout, Worldpay, Moneybookers etc).

We just added an amazing E-commerce solution for Webydo!

Ecwid, the most popular store builder app on Facebook, is now available as a Webydo Widget.

Just click on the Widget Tool, choose the store icon and you have your own store ready.

  12. Gallery Styles for designing elements

A variety of designing elements, such as different types of Slideshows, buttons, forms etc., would be presented inside a gallery when people click on the "Insert button" or "gallery button".

This way, people would have a better view of different type of elements which could be added to the new design (drag and drop).

    For example:

Slideshows (default slideshow, slideshow classic, slideshow gothic, slideshow B, C,D etc)

    Buttons Styles, 1,2,3,4,5

    Form Styles, 1,2,3,4,5

    etc.

    Hi everyone,

We are happy to let you know that social media buttons are now available.
You can access them from the Elements Panel on the left. Just drag and drop them onto the canvas, adjust the settings in the panels on the right and publish.
Tell us what you think and stay tuned for future releases.

Why don't guys you make a keyboard shortcut for cancelling the last move?
I'm a bit tired of clicking the cancel icon...

We have just released an update with many new keyboard shortcuts (including “CMD + Z/CTRL + Z” to undo).
We are working on adding many more keyboard shortcuts in the near future.

  15. A "none" option in the color drop-down

In the color picker window, you should add the option to select a "none" option, to remove the actual used color.

We have just released an update with one pretty cool tool to easily align, match and lay-out the elements of your website.

Grid overlays are exactly what they sound like, a grid that overlays the website.
You can easily show and hide the grid using the keyboard shortcut.
Look for it under the “View” option in the top menu.

  17. Add a layers window

I wish you would add a layers window in order to view or hide nested elements.

    Thanks for the idea.
We have just released the Layers Window feature.

The Layers Window lists all the page elements, sorted by the section they belong to, allowing you easily show and hide them.

  18. Allow snapping

Snapping is a useful feature in Photoshop that allows users to align layers, shapes, text, etc, perfectly with other objects, guides
