To be able to style the menu backgrounds independently from the top level
Meaning, you can have a transparent (no background) on the top level, but then have a color background on the drop downs. This is NECESSARY all the time, because the drop downs can get lost on top of an image or color that may appear lower on the page. By having them style together, you have to break your page design - so people can see the text in the drop down menus. So frustrating .
8 votesUntil we do develop this ability, I would recommend trying the following trick:
Create a solid color image that will be used as the “background color”.
Add the image as an icon to the pages you wish to contain a background – In the “Pages & Navigation” panel.
In the menu, choose to display icons centered.
Please let us know if this works for you, as we know this is not an “elegant” solution…
Thanks you.

Full text control - superscript, subscript and small caps
We work for specialist clients such as scientists and high-end publishers where these details are essential; superscript is the difference between 'two squared' and 22! They are easily achieved with HTML tags, but of course, we can't custom-code individual characters in Webydo, so can these simple features be added alongside things like itals and bold?
Alternatively, could we be able to custom-code individual characters somehow? I imagine this would be fundamentally more difficult to achieve though.
7 votesHi Emma, thanks for reaching out.
Thanks for the feedback, we will take this under consideration in our roadmap meetings. In the meantime, you may use the “HTML Element” to add by code all that you are not able to do with the elements in the panel.
I suggest you contact your account manager (or support), to help you with the code.

Animated mobile menu (hamburger) and slide in Menu
Webydo needs more options for menu animation for mobile. Many sites are now utilizing hamburger style menus with beautiful animation and Webydo is lagging behind with current design trends.
The desktop menus is a step forward but the mobile hamburger style needs an upgrade quickly. This also includes slide in menus! We need slide in and animated hamburgers.

Make Shapes editable in CMS
It would be useful if CMS users could edit images and colours within the Shape element and not JUST DMS users. ...Or for that matter it would be good if they could edit any aspect of this element.
After all, if we don't want them to able to do this to maintain the integrity of the design, then we still have the option to tick the box to make it non-editable on the Properties Panel, so can't understand why Webydo haven't made it editable in CMS???

Clicking on mobile menu dropdown items
When you click on the mobile menu, you have to click on the arrow to show that menu item's submenu. If you click on the item itself, you're taken to the item's page. This can make navigation awkward when you have a full-width menu, which a lot of sites have, because you have to drag your pointer all the way to the arrow on the other side of the screen. You should be able to click on either the arrows or the item to reveal the dropdown submenu. Thanks!

We will check this out and your account manager will reach out with updates. -
Parallax animation - show final location in studio
When editing parallax animation in the studio, the objects are shown in their initial position of animation. I think it should be possible to display their final position. I'm making 'fly in' animations, and my studio looks like one big mess + it's hard to tell if my objects will 'land' at exactly the point I want them to.
7 votesThanks for the feedback.
We do agree with you. Displaying the final location is better in many cases.
We will add this to the roadmap.Thanks.

event and booking calendar
I know you have a 1/3rd party app Simplybook, but are there any plans to create a Webydo version of this, which integrates with the new Webydo Store and has the functionality of the link below?
I have a website possibly coming up, that wants a calendar/booking system like http://devon-lodge-holidays.com/lodges/booking-forms/book/bluebells but I want to build the site using the functionality of the new Webydo Store.
4 votesHi David, thanks for the idea.
I will also pass your request to your account manager, in order for you to try and find a solution for your current project, as a native booking calendar is not something we have planned soon.

Media Library - track which images are currently being used
It would be great to be able to identify (and remove) those images in the Media Library that are not currently being used on the site.
4 votesGreat idea!
This would be very helpful. We hope this feature’s development will be encouraged by the community’s voting.

More languages options
After testing your platform, I was very pleased with the usability and ease of building websites. It is the ideal solution for my clients and for the type of wesites we create. However for us, it would have to be possible to be in Portuguese. I saw that only have 4 language options. My suggestion would be to extend your platform to more languages. I hope very soon!

Revision Snapshot & Review-before-restore
The ability to label and take a snapshot of the site real time for easier reference in the future--this is great when making major changes to pages.
Also the option to 'Review before restore' (e.g. Google Docs, Microsoft Word, etc.) before actually recalling a specific revision.
1 voteThanks Jeremy for the idea.
Regarding the option to “review before restore”, that’s available. The Revision History tool enables you to preview older versions of your website and recover the version you like best.
Clicking on a time-frame, will show you the site as it was then.

Blog Header Banner On/Off Toggle
The ability to Show/Hide the top banner of an individual Blog Post (independent of the article list page). Ideally hiding the top banner would automatically bring the body content up to where the banner was (so that there's no unnecessary white space remaining).
4 votesThanks for the clarification!
So you are asking for the ability to remove the Blog Post’s Main Image.
Got it! -
Real-time Preview of 'Hover Effects' without having to switch to 'Preview' mode
Currently everytime you tweak an effect you need to click on the preview tab. A live, real-time refresh/preview within Design mode would be great.

It would make it easier to design this way. -
Site Folders on Main Dashboard
Site Folders on Main Dashboard
On the main dashboard where the sites created are listed... This should have folders and option to view more than only 5 projects on the one page. Personally we have some clients that do upward of 10 -12 different types of websites with us and it would be painful having them scattered all throughout the project list. Especially if they are done over a long period where numerous other projects are completed in between. If folders are created it would then also be good to be able to make client notes and reminders in the…
9 votesThanks for the ideas Matt,
It seems we need to focus on updating the dashboard, and these are just part of the many ideas we are starting to gather up.I’ll add you ideas to the list of Dashboard to-do’s.
We will keep you updated with any news regarding the dashboard.
Thanks!

Automatic Mobile and Tablet Setup
Allow for automatic Mobile and tablet setups like a squarespace that you can then go in and change to your liking.

remote rollovers with show/hide feature
I would like to see remote rollovers. An example would be where a text item would show/hide an image in a remote location. Often used in gallery sites like this one.
1 voteGreat idea Steve.
We will review implementation options for this idea, and will also follow the votes on this one.We will update you with any news on the subject.
Thanks!

Create a "Fit to Above-The-Fold" Option
Create a "Fit to Above-The-Fold" Option. This would make an element responsive to the screen size.
12 votesThis is a great idea Gyles.
It would be very interesting to figure out how to provide this ability, with an easy-to-use interface.I would be happy to hear ideas.

Multiple CMS Users
I really need to have more than one CMS user per site. I'd like to have one CMS user able to access Design Mode while others can only update text (Content mode). This is a huge problem for my customers.
I understand the problem with multiple logins is that two users can't be in the site at the same time or history, etc would be messed up. But maybe something could be set up so when one user is in the site another trying to login would get a message saying "Please login later, another user is currently updating..."?
Along…

We will update you if this changes in the future.

Blog Author Element
When designing a blog entry it would be nice to have an author element that can be attached to the blog itself. It would include a small photo, author bio, and some social media links to where the author can be found on the web if people want to follow the author.
This would be a great addition for people who would like to incentivize guest bloggers to their site.7 votesThanks John for the idea.
We will look into this and see how and when we could do this.
Will keep you updated.

MLS plugin for realtors
I would like to be able to add a box for MLS (a realtor database)
Doing this can improve Webydo's growth tremendously.
