Built-in Blog

You guys have a concept here that I couldn't be happier to find. Complete free reign of creative appearance very similar to Photoshop, but for building and designing websites.

Now for my suggestions...

A built-in blog feature that allows for retroactive posting (choose date stamp to "import" previous posts) and can be incorporated into the site's search abilities, And a search bar that can be set to work with the content found throughout the website.

More to follow I'm sure...

Exciting news – we just beta launched the Blog Feature.
Start designing by selecting “Blog” in the top menu of the Studio.

Here’s a preview of what’s under the hood:

    Full Creative Control.
You design the look & feel of all aspects
of your clients’ blog posts and feed.

    Design in Context.
Design your blog in real-time, as it appears
on your website. No need for previews.

    In-Line Editing.
CMS users may edit freely in Content Mode,
updating their blog without affecting your design.

    SEO Optimized.
Set your clients up for success in search
    with advanced SEO options.

We’re really happy to share this feature with you so take a look, play around and design away.
    Looking forward to your feedback!

When is the BLOG feature launching? Very interested in this feature.

I'm waiting on this feature before I create and release a site on this platform. This is needed for getting the site index and creating more traffic. Thanks for putting this as a top feature!

Really looking forward to the blogging feature. As one of the first sites I will be designing on Webydo, I am looking forward to migrating it over
from the Blogger platform. Any idea on release date?

        Thanks for the encouragements guys!

The blog feature is in the last QA (quality assurance) stages.
We want to release it in top shape, so we are testing it and getting rid of all the bugs.

        I will keep you updated.

        Thanks!

I can only encourage you to put the blog feature at the top of your must-do list. I would encourage you to look at the one offered by Weebly, which is good, functional, and allows for pre-dating old posts published either on e-mail lists or groups. The one offered by Wix is weak in comparison. Thanks!

I love this whole idea, but the lack of a blogging option had me thinking twice. Will now proceed to work on my new site in Webydo.
        Thanks

        Hi Dan,

Regarding ETA, we believe we will finish the development in not more than a month or two.

We are doing our best to create a blog that is fully design-able and easy to use for the designer and for his CMS users as well.

Hopefully, the wait would be worthwhile :)

Agree with all the comments - take the same "simple simple simple" paradigm and apply it to blogging...
Any ETA (this month, this summer, this year, next year).
I have clients who want to blog and this will be the "panic" point for them to pick a different option.

I agree with Melissa, for both the blog and the content search bar. I wonder is there an easy way to add a third party blog until you guys develop an integrated one?

I Agree. A blog that can be updated in the CMS by the client. That also has hooks for a search function.
