it would be better you put the crop tool like a photoshop crop tool, to make easier to cropping the image directly on the images.

Webydo allows you to crop the images using the “zoom” option.
If you want to use just a portion of the image, this is how it’s done:
Choose an image and click the Zoom button to open a slider. To fine-tune the portion that you want to show, press and hold the mouse button inside the zoom frame and drag it to position.
At any time in the future, you may click the Reset button to cancel the change.

Hey Svein, have you attempted using the zoom tool?
In general Webydo is not made fro cropping images and we strongly advise to upload your images already prepped and web- compatible.
The zoom is a great tool for creating thumbnails and linking them to reveal the full size image using the "pop-up" link.
Let us know if you have any additional questions.

The method described has nothing to do with cropping. Period!

You in fact can crop the image regardless to it's original proportions.
In the image's right side panel your'e able to control the "fitting" mode of the image - set it on "original size" and then use the "zoom" tool to crop- this should help.
Of course prepping your images in photoshop is always recommended, since it's a tool designed for this job specifically.
Always make sure to "save for web"- In 72DPI, RGB colour mode and the correct image size.

Glad to see I'm not the only person having problems with the crop feature. For me, it seems to be cropping only in relation to the proportions of the image. If I want a square image to be cropped to a rectangle, for example, it's really buggy and doesn't work. The image just becomes stretched.
It can crop but it can not crop an image into a fixed size shape, say a square 170px*170px.

I like the idea, its annoying to have to pre crop your pictures before uploading to websites, I would also like to see this feature, especially seeing that there are plenty of other website building websites that are offering this feature.
Now all you can do is zoom your photo in and out. Would be helpful if there was a real crop feature, even a primitive one like in Microsoft Word, at least.
Yes, I'd appreciate an easier crop tool. It's not easy to use.
