Self Hosted Sites
I would like to be able to self host the sites I create with Webydo... is that possible? I don't mind paying for a premium account, but I would like the security of knowing that I have all the files (and control of them) should your company ever close or if I decide to use different tools to create future websites after creating some with Webydo. From the videos and tutorials, I don't forsee that happening (it's seems like an awesome tool) but you never know and I want control of what I create.
88 votesWe are happy to announce that you may now export a site created with Webydo.
By doing so, you will download a file containing all the site’s pages and media. How To Do It:
In the Dashboard, click the “Settings” icon next to the desired site, and click “Download Website As A Zip Backup File.”Have fun!

Password protect pages to secure access
URL spoofing reveals all the pre-launch designs that people are working on. Maybe a simple password to protect them?

We want to let you know that we have a new feature: Page Visibility.
This new feature lets you control the visibility of each page on your website.
In the Webydo Studio, you can define any page as public, private or password protected.Public: visible to everyone (default setting).
Private: visible only in the Webydo Studio.
Password Protected: visible only upon entering a username and password (these values remain the same regardless of page). How It Works:
Go to the Pages & Navigation window.
Choose the page you wish to edit.
Click the Settings Icon.
Under Visibility choose: Public, Private or Password Protected (for this option you must enter a username and password).

more shapes
Allow the ability to add more types of (css3) shapes like triangles and circles.
86 votesHi Jaidenleach!
You can make circles using the “Corner Radius” property.
Webydo allows you to control each side of the element and each corner, separately.
The “Corner Radius” property controls the roundness of the element corners. It works in the same way as Stroke.

Thank you for the suggestion, don’t hesitate to send us more ideas! -
More precise zoom-tool.
It would be awesome if I could write the number of the zoom, when i zoom the picture in a box.
For example 73% zoom, instead of just draging and dropping with the mousebutton.79 votesHi David,
Adding zoom abilities to the Studio is super important. This is planned, and I hope it will be developed soon. The more votes it gets, the sooner it will be done…

We need a smaller url for the CMS link to clients!
The CMS url I have sent to clients is huge (initial sharing)! How about a custom url for purpose or one from our domain. Even a tinyurl would help!

Hide and Reveal Text
It would be great to be able to have a clickable text which reveals more text from within a textbox. For example, clicking on a "Read More" text link would reveal more hidden text below the "Read More", pushing other content down.
77 votesHave you tried the FAQ widget?
The FAQ widgets allows you to create, organize and display content on any page.
Just enter Questions and Answers in the Content menu, then edit Design settings to match your site.
Include images, videos, and links. And choose between expandable accordion style, or display a single answer on click. -
Wish list
Hey Guys, just like to say great service! I had a problem building a test site, but was able to get help within 10 minutes of clicking the chat button! Thank you so much.
Although it's a great service, the editor I'm afraid isn't exactly WYSIWYG, so a little more work and refinement is needed there. I have problems when moving from page-to-page within the editor. Some elements move out of place and guides go missing or move to another part of the page. Tables are a bit of a nightmare.Preview does not show tables correctly, and you have…

Revisions history
Hey guys,
Thanks for the great wrok!
It can be helpful to have revisions history, especially for the CMS user, so that when my clients is updating content and need to go back to a former version, they could do that easily. There can be a list of versions like you have on a google doc, or list of actions like the History function on Adobe Photoshop. What do you guys think?
76 votesWe have just released a new feature we call “Revision History”, and it allows you to go back in time…
In the your site studio, you can now preview older versions and changes made to your website and recover the version you like best.
- Every change is auto-saved
- Go back in time endlessly
- See who made changes and when
- Preview site versions before restoringReverting your site does not eliminate other versions – we auto-save everything for your convenience.
How to work it
1. Open the Webydo Studio
2. Click the Revision History Icon on the top right menu to enter Revision History View Mode.
3. Click the timestamp in the panel on the left to see previous versions and editing details.
4. To revert your site to the version you’re currently viewing, click Restore this revision.5. Click the X icon to exit Revision History…

menu fonts
I know it is possible to add any font by CSS3 ... but I would like to have more fonts available to create menus, 600 fonts available would be great! remembering that there are over 600 fonts "web safe"
74 votesI’m happy to inform you that the Menu Element font list has now been updated.
You may now choose from hundreds of free open-source fonts which are optimized for the web, ensuring accurate typography and manifesting your website’s desired look & feel.
Hope you guys like it.

Ability to remove old Styles from Style Palette
When you design and build a site, the design goes through several phases, would love the ability to remove old paragraph styles etc from the Styles palette to make it easier and cleaner to locate things, especially if clients are to carry on with updating the site themselves.
72 votesYou are absolutely right, removing styles is a must!
This is planned, and I hope will be done as soon as possible.
We will update you when ready, thanks!

Control Speed of OVERALL Page Scrolling?
I notice that when I 'publish' my site (so I can see how utilizing my keyboard's Arrow keys affects my Parallax Scrolling effects – you can't achieve this within the 'Preview' state of your site's design) that I seem to be moving down through my page awfully fast.
Might there be some way to build in some sort of scripting in order to slow the page's scrolling when a viewer uses their keyboard arrows to move through the content here? (I can send/give you the 'Publish' address if you'd like to see what I mean.)
72 votesThanks for the idea Michael.
We will add the ability to control scrolling speed to our roadmap.
The more votes this gets, the sooner it will get developed…

Allow snapping
Snapping is a useful feature in Photoshop that allows users to align layers, shapes, text, etc, perfectly with other objects, guides

What about a calendar?
Pretty much every site-building software includes the option of adding a calendar. Do you have it? I looked around and couldn't find it. Wix allows for the inclusion of a Google calendar. Not sure about Weebly. What about Webydo?
69 votesThanks J.J. for your great idea!
We will sure need to add the Google Calendar as a widget.
But in the meantime, here’s how to embed your Google Calendar on your website:
1. Go to Google Calendar.
In the calendar list on the left, click the down-arrow next to the calendar you want to embed, and select Calendar settings. (Alternatively, click the Settings link at the bottom of the calendar list, then click the name of the calendar.)
Copy the iframe code displayed in the Embed This Calendar section.2 .Go to Webydo
On the top menu, click on the Widget tool and then on “HTML”. Paste the code and that’s it.Hopefully, we will add Google Calendar as an integral Webydo widget soon.

Switching between Webydo themes
It seems that you're locked into a Webydo theme once you select it for your site. That's a pretty frustrating issue. Most other hosted CMSes make it pretty easy to try out and switch between themes.
69 votesThanks Scott!
Our “themes” are used as a starting point, for your inspiration. They are not templates.
You may edit every single pixel in them, so changing the “theme” is not really an option.
Anyway, let’s hear what the community thinks. If it get’s enough votes, we will develop it!

upload a predesigned website layout
Certain websites have already made website templates. Which you are able to download. It would be awesome if you had the option to upload those and then be able to customize it from within webydo.

Thumbnail Gallery
A thumbnail gallery is the most basic thing ever, I can only choose between 2 types of gallery and those aren't really an option for me now.
I suggest a thumbnail gallery in which:
1. I can see all my images in small squares/rectangles.
2. Enable or disable pagination (as in collections) if there are too many images.
3. Click a thumbnail and see a pop-up with a bigger image.
4. When in pop-up mode, be able to use arrows to see the next or previous images without going back to the thumbnails.66 votesHi Silvana and everyone,
We are happy to let you know that new galleries have been added in the studio, including a thumbnail gallery.
You can find them in the Elements Panel on the left, just drag and drop them onto the canvas. Each gallery has it’s own unique editing options which you may change within the Design Panel.
Try them and tell us what you think.
