Designers united in action, together for better!

  1. Collapsible components / accordion navigation

Would love the ability to create a collapsible side nav that works like this:

    http://getbootstrap.com/javascript/#collapse

I have also heard people call this an accordion OR drawers.

    Hi,
That’s a really cool menu, it will be a great addition to the Studio, thanks for showing this to us.

Now lets see what the community thinks.

  3. Anchor Tags (Scroll to Buttons)

It would be great to have the ability to add anchor tags for links.

(Anchor tags scroll the page to a specific spot when a button or link is clicked often by using "jquery" to scroll the page smoothly to the desired area)

We are excited to announce that we have just finished the development process of “Anchor Links” (the ability to add links to a specific part in the same page).

We also added smoothness to the anchor links scrolling.

This feature had many designer votes and was inspired by your requests.

How to create an anchor link:
Choose any element you want, click “Edit” and select “Set as Anchor Link”.
You may now link to it as you would do with any other link.

    That’s it…

    Enjoy!

  4. Autosave

Please add an "AutoSave" feature to protect our progress as we edit?
But still have the ability to "Undo" & "Redo" even after the AutoSave executes.

  5. A Webydo blog to update designers more regularly

How about a blog to update designers on Webydo timelines, issues, future updates and rollouts and what you all are currently working on. Were kinda in the dark on most things.

    But we still love you!

  6. Hover Delay - So that menu's stay up just a tiny bit if you go off course!

A split second delay that keeps the menu up for half a second or so despite moving the cursor away.

For the people who don't have gamer mouse control!

    Thank you!

  7. Disqus & Forums

It would be awesome to allow user to add Disqus to their sites, in similar fashion to what SquareSpace does where you own your own Disqus account and you just put in the account ID in your Webydo settings and Webydo uses the Disqus API to 'install' it on your site.

Some forum support would be awesome to. But something a bit more fancy than your typical static looking one line text topics.

  8. Center Menu Bar option

Menu bars can currently go left to right or right to left, but they can't be centered.

  9. Video pop

I'm a Client of webstar web builder and I just register with you guys. I'm testing the water because after 4 yrs using webstar I'm ready for better tools.

My only suggestion it be great to have video pop out, but so far I like what I see.

I have a question if I decide to move, what it's the procedure to move my domain name to your platform.

    Thanks
    Dwayne Alers

We have just released a the Video Lightbox Element.

A new element has been added to the Galleries Section of the Elements Panel. The Video Lightbox element creates a button that will display a video from Youtube or Vimeo in a pop-up window.

  10. Change the export site folder structure

Change the way the export site folder structure is delivered just in the way that everything is exported under one root folder - as on the real life host server environment - and to be able to just upload the exported folder structure to the host server up and working without need to make internal link renaming which is now needed to make the site work and it is an annoyance that is not really necessary.

  12. The possibility to edit the code!

I know the idea of webydo is to not have anything to do with code but I´m sure alot designers here have previous experience with using code and , like me, would like to have the possibility to edit the code.

We’re happy to announce that you now have the ability to add your own code to any section of your Webydo sites.

You may add and edit code in the site’s and sections in order to have full control of your site, and to be able to easily embed widgets that need code to be added to different sections of a page.

You may also add code to your site’s CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) document, if you wish to do so.

In order to add/edit code, in the studio, click on the “Pages” link on the top menu. Next to each of your site’s pages, you will find the “Add Code” option.

    Hope you like it :)

  13. so many...

    Hi!
...Wordpress... but I confess that I found Webydo very promising (if developers really engaging) ... interesting.

    my suggestions:

    • Slide background (full)

    • Slide Strip

    • Option like dropdown menu + sub

    • Slide transaction effect

    • Project downloadable

    • Push menu

    • Video background

    • Full screen resp

I will start a project with Webydo ... but the platform needs to be improved

    regards!

  14. menu with images

Making a menu with a bunch of images sequenced - in fact you could extend it to a 'social footer' setting with a bunch of social icons (that we could choose from).

Super work fellas - you've got it right. :)

    Hi Sammer,

    Thanks for the feedback

As for now, you can edit the menu fill properties.

You may use color, stroke and shadows, as well as using an image as a button.

You may also set different properties (and images) for each button state (mouse hover, selected button…)

As for using a different images for each menu button (“sequenced”), this would really bring total freedom of design.

Hopefully, this feature will gather enough votes, so it will be moved to the top of the priority list for the development team.

  15. Anchor links - Enhanced Usability

I think it'd be very useful if You could use Anchor links as a main menu functionality. What I mean by this is say you have a big scrolling homepage, but you want to link to a separate page for a contact us, and another page for a shopping cart. Or a Blog for example. Then if you are using Anchor links for the main menu, as soon as you click off to a different page, the links stop working. Currently they are designed to only work on the page the links are. It'd be AMAZING, if the links could…

    Under Review  ·  Ella responded

    Hi Nathan,

Great thinking! Lets hear from the rest of our community, and prioritise the development of a designated feature according to it. In the meantime, you can achieve this functionality using a simple hack:

Step 1: Publish your site and navigate to the page you’d like to link to

Step 2: Find the target element you’d like to use as an anchor link and highlight it

Step 4: Right-click your mouse and select “Inspect Elements” (Chrome & Firefox) and find the element name (div ID), separated by quotation marks from the code. A typical name would be innerImage45__Image45, innerText32__Text32 etc.

Step 4: Create a new Url combining the page full URL followed by # and the div ID. A typical URL would be http://domainname.com/#innerImage62__Image62

Step 5: Add link to your menu, define it as “External Link” and link it to the URL you have created

    If you need any…

  16. I'd like to see the ability to create images with an image rollover state (a different image) and even an active state with a third image.

  19. User Breakpoints

Need a user defined breakpoint where we can set manually when designing as in Adobe Reflow/Macaw. Next release of Adobe Muse will have this finally... I like Webydo so far but I am beginning to find limitations as far as true responsive design goes. The current method of choosing a specific device layout is rather old school...

    Hi Kevin,
User defined breakpoints is a great idea, we’ll look into it.
Thank you for the suggestion, don’t hesitate to send us more ideas!

  20. Gallery Styles for designing elements

A variety of designing elements, such as different types of Slideshows, buttons, forms etc., would be presented inside a gallery when people click on the "Insert button" or "gallery button".

This way, people would have a better view of different type of elements which could be added to the new design (drag and drop).

    For example:

Slideshows (default slideshow, slideshow classic, slideshow gothic, slideshow B, C,D etc)

    Buttons Styles, 1,2,3,4,5

    Form Styles, 1,2,3,4,5

    etc.
