We’re happy to announce that you now have the ability to add your own code to any section of your Webydo sites.

You may add and edit code in the site’s and sections in order to have full control of your site, and to be able to easily embed widgets that need code to be added to different sections of a page.

You may also add code to your site’s CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) document, if you wish to do so.

In order to add/edit code, in the studio, click on the “Pages” link on the top menu. Next to each of your site’s pages, you will find the “Add Code” option.

    Hope you like it :)

AdminAlana (Head of Support, Webydo) commented  ·

Thiago, you are only able to add more code, but not to edit the generated code.

Hi Alexandra, We have just released today the Lightbox Element. It allows you to create a button that will display any web page in a popup window, dimming out the background of the page on which it is located.

    Where to find it:
In the Studio’s Elements Panel, open the “Gallery” category, and just drag & drop the “Lightbox” Element onto your canvas.

    Hope you like it!

AdminAlana (Head of Support, Webydo) commented  ·

    There is a way:

Select the Lightbox Element and set 2 properties:

    1. Properties Panel:
Set the button's "Background Color" to "Transparent".

    2. Design Panel:
Open the "Fill" section and upload an "Background Image".

    Hi everyone.
It seems that the development of HTML removal will be delayed, as other features with higher votes are being developed first.

Keep voting for this idea in order to ensure it will be added to the development plans as soon as possible.

    Hi Daniel,
You can resize each page according to your needs. Here is how you do it:
On any page, drag the content marker down the length you desire.
Go to another page and do the same.
Now Both pages will have individual heights.

I hope that help, Please contact us if you have more questions: support@webydo.com

AdminAlana (Head of Support, Webydo) commented  ·

You should drag the "CONTENT" guide, not the footer guide.
Let me know if this works.

Hi Diana, thank for reaching out.

Could you pleas elaborate some more on your request? What do you mean by linking to an image? Is the image supposed to open as a pop-up?

    Thanks, waiting for your comment.

    Hi Norhafiz,
    Thanks for the feedback!

We are currently developing many new features for the gallery slider element.

One of them is the option to make it fit to the background of the site.

Hopefully this will be ready in a couple of days.

AdminAlana (Head of Support, Webydo) commented  ·

Video elements may be set to be full width of the screen. This will allow you to create full width video strips.

You may also set the video to be full height, but that will only be the height of the content section of the page, without the footer.

So in order to set video as the whole page background, you would need to place a video element on the content section, check the "Fit to Width" and the "Fit to Height" options, and add a code to your page that hides the footer section (display: none).

We want to release it in top shape, so we are testing it and getting rid of all the bugs.

    I will keep you updated.

    Thanks!

    Hi Dan,

Regarding ETA, we believe we will finish the development in not more than a month or two.

We are doing our best to create a blog that is fully design-able and easy to use for the designer and for his CMS users as well.

Hopefully, the wait would be worthwhile :)

    Hi Gordon,
You are correct, this is not available yet, but we will look into it, thanks for the heads up.

For now, you can add a picture manually with Add Code To Site:
    - Go to “Pages”.
    - On any category click the Add Code icon </>.
    - Go to “Add Code To All Pages” tab.
    - In the , add this tag:

Just change the URL to the one that you need.

    - Click Save and Publish your website.

Now pasting the URL in social media will show a thumbnail.

If using Facebook, don’t forget to clear cache here:

    David,
In the Design Panel you may set for most elements to "fit to width".
This will set the element as 100% width to fit the screen of any device you view the page.

    Hi Everyone,

We have some exciting news. New buttons are now available in the Studio with rollover states and multiple animations and transition effects.

Not only do you have dozens of buttons to choose from, you are also able to customize the color, text and effects of the states to fit your design needs.

You can find these buttons in the Elements Panel under the Buttons drop-down and simply drag and drop them onto the canvas.

For more information on the new buttons: http://goo.gl/kE6A4F

Please try them and tell us what you think.

    Hi Kevin,
The issue that you are mentioning is temporary technical issue that will be fixed in the next couple of days. All CSS will be delivered in a separate CSS file.

AdminAlana (Head of Support, Webydo) commented  ·

Hi all, I have some more news:

We have just released the "Hover Effects" element.

The Hover Effects element is an image element with multiple hover effects for you to choose from.

This wide variety of hover effects consists of fine lines, white space and clean typography. Use them to improve styling or to enhance the overall user experience of your site.

    Explore the Effects Here:
    http://knowledgebase.webydo.com/Basic-Elements-/80691636/The-Image-Hover-Effect-Element.htm

Let me know what you think!

AdminAlana (Head of Support, Webydo) commented  ·

Regarding the ability to upload images to your buttons, this is planned. Hopefully will be done in a couple of weeks.

Regarding the ability to change the text color, it is possible. Just change the "Text Style" to a style with a different color (Change the color through the "Paragraph Styles" panel).

AdminAlana (Head of Support, Webydo) commented  ·

Not yet, but it is in the development roadmap.
I hope we will start this ASAP.

Try for now using the "Text Caption" option on images.

Hi, we are currently working on a connection between text and shapes, to make the shapes grow/shrink with the text.

We will update you when it’s ready.

AdminAlana (Head of Support, Webydo) commented  ·

    It's actually pretty simple.
If the text is above a shape and the text grows, the shape also grows.
You don't have to do anything, and the content manager doesn't have to do anything either.

And it doesn't just grow, it also pushes everything beneath it relatively, and it happens in every breakpoint as well.

    Hi,
Please provide us with more details about what you would like to see.

AdminAlana (Head of Support, Webydo) commented  ·

    Hi, this is already available.

As I understand, you are asking to add an effect to an element with parallax animation.
The effect is to fade out, right?

To achieve a "Fade Out" effect, click on the "+ Add Effect" button, choose "Fade To", and set the percentage of opacity you want.

For a complete fade out, choose "0%".

This will create a motion path that gradually changes the opacity from the current setting to "0%".
