Thanks Eric for the good feedback!

      1. Repeat on “Some” Pages – This is planned. Great Idea.

      2. Grouping – This is already available, just select a couple of elements and you will then see a “Group Elements” button on the top menu.

      3. Lock Elements – great idea! Also planned.

      4. For this reason, Webydo partnered with Akamai to deliver your website through a Content Delivery Network (CDN) which is a large network of servers placed across the world.

Hi Robin, I couldn't agree with you more :)
This will take some time, but it is planned.

We’re happy to announce that you now have the ability to add your own code to any section (including the “Head” section) of your Webydo sites.

You may add and edit the code in all the site’s sections in order to have full control of your site, and to be able to easily embed widgets that need code to be added to different sections of a page.

You may also add code to your site’s CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) document, if you wish to do so.

In order to add/edit code, in the studio, click on the “Pages” link on the top menu. Next to each of your site’s pages, you will find the “Add Code” option.

        Hope you like it :)

          Hi Graham,

We are currently working on many “fitting” options that are not subject to section limits.
They will probably be available in a couple of weeks.
Hopefully they will give you the freedom of design needed.

Regarding more sections, this is not on our near future road-map.
Maybe enough votes will make us rethink it.

We have just finished the production process of the “Pin Position” feature!

It will allow you to keep your most important elements on the screen when scrolling through your website.

After you pin the position of an element, it will appear as if it is “floating” on the site.

From fixed menus to headers and side bars, there are endless inspiring examples of how to use fixed elements.

So please check it out, and tell us how it feels.

            We hope you like it!

Hi, Thanks again for the feedback!

I am sorry for setting the status back to "planned" again.
We did start developing this and then had to pause it.

The reason is that we needed to take the guys developing the "Fit To" features and let them help the guys developing one of the best features we have ever done.

As you probably noticed, we added some new icons (desktop, tablet and mobile icons).

So you probably know what I am talking about.

We really hope it will be worth it.

As soon as we release that great feature, we will get back and start working on the "Fit To" features again.

Custom Brand Webydo as Your Own!

We are very excited to announce that we have just released new custom-branding abilities to Webydo.

This will allow designers to custom-brand Webydo’s interface and present it to their clients as their own.

You will also be granted with your own log-in page, displaying your own logo, so your clients will be able to log-in directly to their websites, in order to manage content, without having to go through Webydo at all.

Branding is a key element for any designer. Whether you own a large company or you are a freelancer, your brand is your identity.

I have to agree with you Agatha, the link sure is long.
We should work on making it shorter.

In the meantime, you may use "URL shortners", like Google's "URL Shortner" service that allows you to shrink your links:

                Try it here: http://goo.gl/

AdminAlana (Head of Support, Webydo) commented  ·

In order to work the branding features:

Go to Webydo’s dashboard, click on the new “My Branding" tab and upload your logo. You & your client will be able to see your logo on the top bar immediately.

You will also have there a link to your own branded login page, to give to your clients, so they will not have to login through Webydo's site.

                  Hi everyone,

We wanted to inform you that you may now upload your own fonts, directly from your computer directory.

You may also connect to your Adobe Typekit account and use your fonts in the Webydo Studio.

                  To work it:

                  Upload your own fonts :

In the Webydo Studio, click on any text element. Then, in the design panel – under fonts – click, “Add Fonts.”
Now, in the “Manage Your Fonts” window, go to the “Upload Your Fonts” tab. There, click the “upload font files button” and easily upload any font from your computer directory.

                  Adobe Typekit Connection:

In the Webydo Studio, click on any text element. Then, in the design panel – under fonts – click, “Add Fonts.”
In the “Connect Typekit Fonts” tab, you can swiftly add your API Typekit token by following the cues.

Now, you can purchase domain names straight from Webydo.

Choose domain name and purchase it directly from your site settings in your Dashboard. The domain will be automatically connected to your website.

Go to your site settings on the Dashboard and click the “Domain & Email” tab to purchase your own domain.

We have just released an update with many new keyboard shortcuts (including “CMD + Z/CTRL + Z” to undo).
We are working on adding many more keyboard shortcuts in the near future.

Webydo’s forms allow you to send an email to the address of your choice whenever a form is submitted.
If you would like every successfully submitted public entry from a form to be emailed to you, type in the email address where you’d like the entry to be sent. Multiple email addresses may be used.

All submissions will still be accessible through your Webydo Dashboard.

                                        Thanks for the idea.
We have just released the Layers Window feature.

The Layers Window lists all the page elements, sorted by the section they belong to, allowing you easily show and hide them.

We are currently working on adding more features to the Layers Window.

The ability to lock elements through the Layers Window is a great idea, and we will probably develop it too.

I hope it will be ready for one of the next releases planned.

                                          Hi everyone,

We are happy to let you know that social media buttons are now available.
You can access them from the Elements Panel on the left. Just drag and drop them onto the canvas, adjust the settings in the panels on the right and publish.
Tell us what you think and stay tuned for future releases.
