      Hi David,

We have added a new Plugin called SimplyBook.

SimplyBook is a third party plugin that lets you take bookings, manage appointments and receive payments from visitors.

The Basic functions are free. If you wish for more advanced options purchase a SimplyBook paid plan.

      Enjoy!

      David commented  ·

SimplyBook is okay if you want take hourly bookings (say for a hairdresser), as it works in hourly units ONLY and has NO OPTION FOR DAYS. So even with their workaround, which confusingly for the end-user displays one hour per day, you can't block book a venue and pay for group of days or weeks. So for example if your customer wanted to book 7 days, they'd have to go through the whole booking and payment process 7 times.

        Hi David,
You are able to provide you CMS with full design abilities, in order to be able to edit the site just like a DMS can.

In the Dashboard, click the settings icon, and select the CMS tab. Choose “Full Design Abilities”.

        David commented  ·

        Thank you

        David commented  ·

But that's effectively giving the customer DMS and not CMS, ...and I don't want to give them that much control over the apps or the design.

But I don't think it's unreasonable or can't be that difficult, to allow "CMS users" to have access to the grab handle on shapes to extend say a background coloured box, if they for example add lots more text than originally allowed in the design, so that the text which looked good sitting inside a coloured box doesn't hang over, extending beyond the boundary of the background box and therefore spoiling the integrity of the design. After all, if as the designer we didn't want them to alter the shape we can lock it to stop them, can't we?

So this function is not "Already available" is it? I'd appreciate it, as I'm sure many other would, if you could give this request your serious consideration.

        Many thanks

I agree with all of the comments, this could be a indispensable feature with a calendar for all kinds of bookable venues and events. And if this were to integrate with new Webydo eCommerce and shopping cart, it would be a fantastic addition to the platform.

Hi David, thanks for the idea.

I will also pass your request to your account manager, in order for you to try and find a solution for your current project, as a native booking calendar is not something we have planned soon.

                  Hi David,

Moving a page from one menu to another is possible.

Click the Pages link on the top menu or the Plus + button on the page tabs bar to open the Pages & Navigation window.

There you will find the “Included In” field.

Included In enables you to move the page between menus if you have more than one menu. If you want a page included in more than one menu, leave the page in one of the menus and create a LINK to the page in the other menu.

Hi all, I have some news:

We have just released the “Hover Effects” element.

The Hover Effects element is an image element with multiple hover effects for you to choose from.

This wide variety of hover effects consists of fine lines, white space and clean typography. Use them to improve styling or to enhance the overall user experience of your site.

By the way, you may link the image to any page you wish, as a button.

                      Explore the Effects Here:

Hi, we are currently working on a connection between text and shapes, to make the shapes grow/shrink with the text.

We will update you when it’s ready.

                        David commented  ·

That's great, but why so technical, which will take time and we could do with this functionality now please?

Surely it can't be that hard just to make the drag handles active? That's all we need. Thanks

The CMS user is able to add unlimited images within text content sections provided by the designer.

They are also able to update all other images on the site, including galleries.

We will gather feedback on the idea in order to better understand the needs.

                          Thanks!

Having multiple CMS users is a very important ability to have.

We totally agree with that and with the fact that more control is needed over CMS permissions and management.

We do plan to bring many updates regarding CMS management, but this will take some time to get into development, because there are other features with a higher level of priority.

We’ll keep you updated with any news regarding this.

Thanks for the idea and the votes.

                              Hi,

It would be great if you could extend the password protected page functionality, so that signed-up website members can go to a generic sign-in page and only have access to the allowed pages and then a logout button, so that if they are using a public computer they can ensure that there is no unauthorised access to their member area.

Currently, site members have to know the exact URL for their specific page and then they are sent to a login page and there is no ability for them to logout.

Even better if members can automatically create their own passwords and create their own profile pages also.

All of POWr,IO’s widgets basic functions are free. You need to register to use them, but only use payment is for additional features, like branding removal and other functions.
We will be releasing more and more new features like this in the near future, not just POWr.IO.
Why don’t you tell us what you like to see in the Studio?

Thanks J.J. for your great idea!

We will sure need to add the Google Calendar as a widget.

But in the meantime, here’s how to embed your Google Calendar on your website:

                                    1. Go to Google Calendar.
In the calendar list on the left, click the down-arrow next to the calendar you want to embed, and select Calendar settings. (Alternatively, click the Settings link at the bottom of the calendar list, then click the name of the calendar.)
Copy the iframe code displayed in the Embed This Calendar section.

                                    2 .Go to Webydo
On the top menu, click on the Widget tool and then on “HTML”. Paste the code and that’s it.

Hopefully, we will add Google Calendar as an integral Webydo widget soon.

                                      Hi There,

Enhancing the responsive feature by adding breakpoints and enabling their adjustment is a great idea.

Promoting it depends on our community votes and comment. So let’s see how our users will respond to this idea.

                                        Hi everyone,

We want to let you know that we have a new feature: Page Visibility.

This new feature lets you control the visibility of each page on your website.
In the Webydo Studio, you can define any page as public, private or password protected.

Public: visible to everyone (default setting).
Private: visible only in the Webydo Studio.
Password Protected: visible only upon entering a username and password (these values remain the same regardless of page).

                                        How It Works:
Go to the Pages & Navigation window.
Choose the page you wish to edit.
                                        Click the Settings Icon.
Under Visibility choose: Public, Private or Password Protected (for this option you must enter a username and password).
                                        Click OK and Publish.

Thank you for the feedback, if you have more questions please contact our support team.

                                        Hi Sivan,

Yes, I'm only talking about login page for "Password Protected" pages.

For example: currently my client is a fitness Personal Trainer and he has Password Protected pages for his individual personal training clients, for which they can only login to their training pages by typing the website www.domain/clients_name.html

It would be easier if they could get access to their individual training page by clicking on a link that takes to them to a username and password login page and ideally with my clients website logo above it.

I hope that makes it a bit clearer?

Hi, this is a fantastic addition, but would it be difficult to add a generic login/sign-up form (or a link to one) like the Webydo unbranded dashboard sign-in where our client could add their website logo's?

It's a bit clumsy asking a customer to remember their individual login URL just to get to the login page, not to mention work intensive if the site owner is looking to grow a large database of members.

This is fantastic news, thanks guys. But could we have one little addition please, the ability for people to log-out as well, as this is especially important if people are using non-secure public computers?

When is this planned for please? I was promised that it would be happen in June with the launch of V8, or the very least shortly certainly shortly after the launch July/Aug and I have a client waiting to add this functionality to his site.

                                        Thanks David

Excellent idea, it would speed up the process of looking for elements on a page page if we could just name them ourselves
