We have just released the Lightbox Element. It allows you to create a button that will display any web page in a popup window, dimming out the background of the page on which it is located.

    Where to find it:
In the Studio’s Elements Panel, open the “Gallery” category, and just drag & drop the “Lightbox” Element onto your canvas.

    Hope you like it!

We definitely need this and it is much neater than a pop-up, which is such a clunky solution. And it should have the ability to show multiple images and add titles.

    Some example here http://fancybox.net/

    Hi David,

That’s a thought. Let’s turn to our community to see if they agree.

    Hi everyone,
We wanted to let you know that we are working on a development that will let you choose from a variety of designed elements to be add to the canvas as well as save your own.
We will update you as soon as it is released.

I agree at button creation tool would be really useful, as it can get very messy and complicated, if you have to create 10's or 100's of different links for buttons in Dashboard/Pages. And as Toby suggested, the ability to save a created element - like a button, or a shape, or formatted block of text, etc, to a paste-board would be save a lot of time having to recreate these elements, or go find them again.

    Hi everyone,

A search box is now available along with group of other new third party plugins that can be easily dragged and dropped directly onto your canvas. Ranging from chat windows to social media bars and eCommerce buttons, these are just some of the latest additions to the Elements Panel in the Webydo Studio.

Please try them and tell us what you think, thanks for all the feedback.

Great idea and I wouldn't have a problem paying for them as long as long as we could still get support for them

    Hi there,

The CSS section works in regards to any code added in the HTML section.

So that if you chose to add code to the site you are also able to add CSS for that code.

This CSS will not affect elements that were added using the Webydo editor, only elements that were coded in the HTML section.

I also added some CSS and the HTML code for a pretty button and like you nothing happened. Just ended up with a ordinary text link and no button.

I know you create the same in using shapes with rollovers etc, but it's a bit time consuming by comparison.

    Hi David,

Introducing the studio’s various features, functionalities and abilities to our users is a tricky task, one that we try to tackle nearly every day. Your idea could be a great solution, and ease users orientation while getting to know Webydo.

By the way, did you try the “Get to know your workspace” guide located under “Help” in the main navigation bar? It is designed to ease users first encounter with our platform and it’s basic features.

    ...Sorry, to continue...

It would be great if I could add these tooltips to any relevant content block - gallery, shapes, text boxes, etc. And even better if the customer could turn them on and off from the main control panel, so they don't get in the way when they don't need them.

    David

    Thanks

Hi Ella, Thanks for the reply and yes I have used the "Get to know your workspace", which is very useful.

But as a designer I have some customers who are not very tech savvy and it would be useful if I could add tooltips to their website, to talk them through making changes, in the kind of language I know they would understand.

Hi Ella, thanks for the reply.

Yeah sorry I have found it already and was just a too bit quick off the mark lol, but still a Webydo newbie and loving the experience so far.

    Hi Miguel,

What an inspiring Idea! It seems like many features can benefit additional sorting function, which will also complete our upcoming search tool. Let’s see how many votes this idea gets.

    Google Custom Search Plugin

We have added a new Search Plugin that’s Free! You can now add Google’s Custom Search box directly in the Webydo Studio.

With Google Custom Search you can:

    - Create custom search engines that search across a specified collection of sites or pages
    - Enable image search for your site
    - Customize the look and feel of search results
    - Add promotions to your search results
    - Associate your search engine with your Google AdSense account, so you make money whenever users click ads on your search results pages.
